Size isn’t everything in life, but it’s pretty important when it comes to solar panels as the bigger they are the more power they can produce. Thankfully, you can now get panels of different dimensions to suit the available roof space on your motorhome, caravan or boat.
As part of generating a quote, we’ll always ask what area of flat space you have available that is clear of vents, aerials or other obstructions and what wattage you are looking for. For example, a standard 100w solar panel can normally produce around 28 amps of supplementary energy per day and this would be suitable to power:
- 2 or 3 low energy light bulbs all evening
- small TV and radio for a few hours
- mobile phone or laptop chargers
- and even a small cooler unit.
