Kits-n-Bits Limited was formed in 2003 by automotive technology experts to provide products and technological experience to the automotive industry.

In 2004 the company gained VSIB accreditation and, shortly after, was awarded Thatcham Cat 5 vehicle-tracking installation status. In 2005 we became a partner station for Sortimo van racking and have since undertaken conversions as varied as in-vehicle workshops, classroom vehicles and pest-control vehicles.

Since 2006 our business has expanded into areas such as multiple vehicle installations for end users such as UK wide local authorities, utilities, emergency services and UK wide parcel delivery fleets at our premises while still offering a national mobile installation service.

2007 to present has seen our engineers gain further accreditations in their specialised areas including Nokia Installer, Parrot Installer and Full Thatcham Accreditation which now includes former VSIB accreditation.

All our alarm systems are Thatcham approved for cars, commercial vehicles, motorhomes, caravans and motorcycles and are sourced from leading manufactures including Cobra, Autowatch, Toad and MetaSystem.

Our vehicle tracking, telematics and fleet management systems are Thatcham and Cat 5 approved from suppliers such at SmarTrack, Cobra and FleetM8. We specialise in installations of these products into vehicle fleets, high value cars, motorhomes, caravans, boats and all types of plant.

In response to increased instances of theft from commercial vehicles, fleet operators are requiring extra physical security. We supply a range of Thatcham approved slam locks and dead locks from our main supplier, Locks 4 Vans.

The cost of parking sensors is relatively low in comparison with body work and bumper repairs sustained during parking mishaps. We supply a range of parking aids including parking sensors, reversing cameras and reversing beepers for all types of vehicles including cars, light and heavy goods vehicles, motorhomes and caravans. We use the highest quality products from Spal, Cobra, Autowatch, OWL and Vision Techniques.

Handsfree car kits have been part of our core business since the formation of the company. We install car kits on behalf of car and commercial dealerships, company vehicle fleets as well as for private individuals. We install kits from Parrot, Nokia, iO and specialised OEM Intergration Factory Bluetooth car kits from ViseeO and Fiscon normally fitted to Porsche, Mercedes and Audi.

To overcome the "are we there yet" syndrome why not have one of our specialist engineers install a rear seat entertainment system to keep your family entertained? This can range from a basic roof mounted single DVD System to a multiple input, multiple screen system to accept Freeview, Sky on the move, game consoles and iPod. Quality products such as Rosen ensure that the installation is completed to OEM standard. For business users we can offer the option of a fully integrated In-Car PC.

In line with the current increasing trend for in-vehicle CCTV we can supply a single camera system used in many taxis up to an eight camera system incorporating GPS and Wi-Fi for live data transfer used in such vehicles as buses, lorries, PSV, HGV and refuse vehicles.

We supply and install the latest automotive lighting technology to meet the standards dictated by current legislation. Lighting solutions include Halogen Rotating Beacon, Xenon Beacon Bars, LED Scene Lights, LED Strobes and LED Matrix Signs. Some of our suppliers include Redtronic, Vision Alert, Britax PMG, Haztec and Labcraft.

In response to the growing demand for commercial vehicle accessories, we pride ourselves on supplying the highest quality accessories to enable our customers to customise and optimise their vehicles to match their individual needs. Accessories we supply include bulkheads, plylining, roof racks, towbars, Glide-Rite electric steps and seat covers from suppliers including: Van Guard, Rhino, TrukRax, Witter and Town and Country. In addition we are the Sortimo Racking partner station for the South Wales area and can also supply and install Eberspacher products including Nightheaters, Fuel Heaters and Handwash Units.

Recently economy diesel tuning has seen a rapid increase due to substantial increases in fuel costs as well as a growing concern for the environmental impact of vehicle emissions. We pride ourselves on being the South Wales Agent for BHP+ diesel tuning products.

Current trends have seen our entry into the area of van conversions. We have carried out such conversions from a basic surfer day vans, to high spec luxury transport vehicle for the entertainment industry.
